This is a glazed earthenware vase that has a cylindrical shape that flairs outward slightly near the top and tapers back in at the lip. A band of stylized ivy appears around the vase at its widest point.

PROVENANCE: Artist; Paul Evans Illustrated in Art Pottery, p. 18; American Art Review (I Nov-Dec 1974) p. 144. The tube lining is poor and is not Rhead. The tube lining can be applied to the leather-hard green clay or to the bisque ware.
