This is a turned bowl made from Hawaiian Macadamia wood. The bowl is egg-shaped with a lip that dips in a concave curve on each side. Two knots are visible with radiating wood grain.

PROVENANCE: donor purchased in 1983. very fragile wood, requiring great skill to work; One similar in Boston MFA
