Gold Fever! The Lure and Legacy of the California Gold Rush. Jan. 24, 1998 - Oct. 31, 1999 "Natives and Settlers," Great Hall, 12-17-79 to 3-9-80.
Basket cup, small. Miwok Tribe
"Mush server. Coiled, three horizontal rows of design in redbud. Good - very good condition."(Reggiardo,11/78)
"Northern Miwok, possibly Ione. Three-rod, coiled in sedge with bracken fern root pattern. Distinctively Ione Miwok style. I think that is one of four baskets (including 16.405, 16.376, 16.385) representative of a specific type of Miwok baset used as a drinking cup or personal acorn soup basket used for drinking thin acorn soup."(C. Bates, 8/91)
