Object: Plough plane withe adjustable fence, marked "T.L.Prevost" and manufactured by the Greenfield Tool Co., Greenfield, Massachusetts.
History:
Plough, or plow, planes came in several forms and were used to cut grooves in the edges of boards. Today, plough planes are largely obsolete. They have been replaced by electric routers and shapers, or by readily available wood moldings produced in factories.
