Basket. S. California either Cahuilla or Luiseno. "Extremely shallow bowl or plate, round, coiled. Two coiled bands form a lip around the rim. Star shaped design in brown on front and back. Excellent condition."(Reggiardo, 3/79) "Lip is unusual; tightness of weave is good; ca 1930s or 1940s. Colors unusual in that they are very yellow; have only seen this on the Morango Reservation."(Lowell Bean, 7/92)
