Wedding dress and accessories. Material: satin. Date: 1908. Description: veil, orange blossoms, hose, shoes, corset, silk slip; worn by donor's mother whose husband is a cousin of Oakland's original E. Adams. Restoration: lace ruffle sewed back to yoke 11-11-76 white thread; also has copy photograph of donor's motheing same dress, under same accession # sweart (DC 6-93) As a guess at the right letters: A: dress; B: slip; C: pair stockings; D: corset; E: pair shoes; F; orange blossoms: G: veil; I: photo. Ivory satin, pointed toe, low vamp, Louis heel. Lace bow with paste buckle on one shoe, other missing. Handmade lace (Duchess). Label says "Frank Brothers, New York". Look to be size 4. Where both buckles attached, vamp has been slashed. (Joan Severa, 3/1/1994)
