3 Sperry and Co. flour bags, Stockton with San Francisco office. From the History Information Station: Object: Flour sack, marked "Sperry's New Patent Flour." History: Settlers often lived a a distance from the nearest store. Rather than buying gorceries in small amounts that might last only a few days, they bought boxes, sacks and barrels of esssential products. Flour, for instance, would have been used in large quantities for daily bread baking. This flour bag was filled at the Sperry Flour Mill in Stockton, California.
