Bonnet. Description: Blue corduroy bonnet made by Taft & Pennoyer, Oakland. History: Donor's grandfather, William Edward Loy, came to California from Iowa in 1874. He lived in Suisun and Chico, and was in the printing supply business.
(IBM 5/93) Young Girl's bonnet of navy blue cordueroy with satin bow trim between brim and crown, matching ties (bonnet strings) which are badly worn.
Looks like ones from late teens - combination of similar hats in 1915 fashion publication. (Colleen Callahan, 11/18/1993)
