History: This painting shows a man and woman aboard a sailing ship thanking Jesus for a safe voyage. The man and woman are larger than the ship that is carrying them because, for the devotional purposes of this painting, they are the most important elements. The clouds and the angel indicate that Jesus is in heaven, gazing down on the ship. Museum Purchase
