Original drawing of a section of Oakland that shows the property of J.K. Irving (among others). Mr. Irving's property is largely contained in an area from Grove St. to West St., being bound on the south by 14th St. and on the north by 17th St. It appears that this map was needed in the legal action: Brayton et al vs. City of Oakland, July 1876. The title is handwritten; there is a stamp that reads: W.F. Boardman, Civil Engineer. Some of the area is tinted a faint pink.
