Property of the Alameda County Land Company proposed subdivision, July 27-89
Gift of Mr. William G. Boardman

There are two contiguous subdivisions shown on this map; the first is an area bounded by 12th St. on the South, 1st Ave on the east, and a street which fronts on Lake Merrit entitled "Proposed Boulevard." The current name of that street is Lakeshore Ave. The second square block of subdivisions is the one embraced by 14th and 15th Sts. and 1st and 2nd Aves. This map is almost identical to the one described in h69.38.1547 of the Museum's collection. The earlier map does not bear the full title that this one does, and is undated. In script in the upper left hand corner of this document is the notation: Office copy, W.F. Boardman.
