The "Tract List" compiled by Quentin dates the McElrath Tract at 1891. The area included in this drawing are the subdivisions on Adeline St., Mattie Ave, Central Ave, Parsons St., Sutter St., and Lowell St. The area is bordered on the west by the Parsons Golden Gate Tract and the Gaskill Tract (probably either San Pablo Ave. or Gaskill Ave.) The named streets of that era now appear to be numbered streets. Subtitle of the document: Being a part of Plot no. 45 as per Kellersberger's map of the Ranchos of V. & D. Peralta... A portion of Temescal Creek appears in the lower left corner of the map; it seems to flow under Adeline St. (D. Cooper, 7/98) The J. Edgar McElrath house at 51st and Dover Streets in Oakland was purchased in 1913 to become Children's Hospital.
