The area subdivided on the map is bounded on the west by Telegraph St. and on the east by Webster St. Walnut St. (now 17th St.?) is the southern boundary street and Elm St. (now 19th St.?) is the northern boundary street. Valley and Peralta Sts. are within the subdivision and are shown to run parallel to Webster St. The area was surveyed by W.F. Boardman. G.W. Dam is cited as the President of the homestead association. There is also an index map which shows the subdivision in relation to other parts of Oakland. On this map the College of California is shown to be on Franklin St. between 12th and 14th Sts.
