Left to right: at far right is Grenville Dodge next to him is Sidney Dillon beside him is General Phillip Sherdian at center by bird cage is General Grant who at this time was a presidential candidate. The next man standing in front of the fence is William T. Sherman with his hand resting on the little girl by him. The next man standing in front of the fence in a top hat is William Harney a U.S. general beside him is Thomas C. Durant, Vice President of the Union Pacific Railroad and at the far right is General Joseph Potter.
