"117 Devil's Gate. Dale Creek Canyon," is handwritten in ink on paper tape covering the top and bottom edge of a second piece of glass that supports the negative. "No [2]8 Devils Gate Dale Creek Cannon," inscribed in the emulsion along the top edge of the negative.
