H70.141.4S

06/08/06 P. Mendelsohn This cover is printed on a cream background with the title printed in blue. A plaque in the center bears the skyline of the Pan-Pacific International Exposition against a golden sky. To the left is the figure of a dancing girl in a red costume holding a stem of poppies. To the right is a larger image of a poppy, with a photo of a band conductor in uniform titled "Armand Putz." He is further described as "Bandmaster, 3rd Coast Artillery Band of the Presidio of San Francisco." Although the lyrics do not name the Exposition, this song appears to be for tourists to the P.P.I.E. The condition is good, except for a tear on the back cover at the upper right.
