Muffin pan. Description: muffin pan made of individual stamped sheet iron molds attached to iron strips. From the History Information Station: Many settlers made and ate muffins almost every day. Some muffins were made from yeast dough, like today's English muffins. Others were made form cornmeals or oatmeal or bran batters. The mold was greased with lard or beeswax to keep the muffins from sticking to the rough iron.
