The Hollywood Canteen was an entertainment center for service men and women during World War II. Stage shows were presented, big bands and famous singers performed, and many movie stars would come to the canteen to entertain either on the stage, or by talking to or dancing with the service people. A movie was made about the Hollywood Canteen."
