Misc. prints and pictures, etc. a: Print of Leland Stanford. Written under this signature in typewritting is, "The Stanford of the sixties." Under the portrait is, "Photo by Bradley &" on the left, "Engd by J.C. Buttre, N.Y." on the right. It shows Stanford in a coat, vest and tie with beard and moustache. The back has several glue marks and the number is, "H-1398". Probably an exhibit #. b: Colored photographic ad for richard Jose's, "THE SWEETEST STORY EVER TOLD," "SILVER THREADS AMONG THE GOLD," by K and r Film co., Inc. Six, Paris. The Sepia photograph has been tinted or colored with flesh tones, yellow, pink, blue and a brown. It shows Richard Jose holding his family near. They are all in front of the fire. The ad line is at the bottom left and in the center. Dimensions: a: 6" x 9-3/8" b: 10-1/8" x 8" Condition: Paper has yellowed in both a and b. Back of b: shows cracks in the center of the photograph and there are holes from thumb tacks.
