Miner's pick. Description: Cast steel pick head, with short prongs, called "Chinese Pick", wood handle with hanging hole at base. Condition: Fair, head rusted and loose, handle splintering near head. 76 cm. Remarks: type preferred by Chinese miners, with short headed prongs, California mother lode locale. (Norm Wilson 10/7/96) Pick head commercially produced. Points have been repaired (seams are visible) and are newer. (Ray Hillman, 4/97) This is a drifting pick.
