Nursing cap. Description: Nursing cap, starched white cotton student cap, all white, First Year Student. 10 1/4" x 7 5/8" x 4 3/8". History: Highland Hospital School of Nursing; cap worn by Mrs. Graham when she was a student. (1st year all white; 2nd year 1 black velvet ribbon stripe, 3rd year 2 black velvet ribbon stripes. They probably have not changed too much. Shape of cap differentiated students from nurses. (Joan Severa, 3/8/1994)
