History: Taken at Eureka Ball Park in Klinknerville. Del Monte Hotel in background, corner of 59th and San Pablo. Klinkner Collection, neg.# 57 - "Unidentified boy with bat, on edge of Eureka Park (Klinknerville Base Ball park), back of the Hotel Del Monte in background, coprner of 59th St. and San Pablo Ave., ca. 1886-1893" The plate was taken by Charles S. Klinkner, Jr., son of Charles Klinkner, Sr., who founded the town. The donor is the grandson of the senior and nephew of the photographer.
