"Frontier Medicine," Breuner Gallery, May 9 - Aug. 3, 1980.

Medical pills in bottle. Description: Soloid brand Silver Nitrate. Brown glass bottle with raised ribbed design and triangle shape, fitted with cork stopper, sealed with red and clear wax. Paper label with handwritten dilution table, small printed labels on back. Pills are grey tablets. Condition: Good, except for spots of goo in a few places. 17 cms. History: Pharmaceutical supplies and merchandise from the Sandelin Drug Co. located at 7th and Willow, West Oakland. Founded in 1879 by ____Sandelin, taken over in 1920 by Oscar Frisch, father of donor, retaining old store name. Materials donated date between 1880 and 1920 and are typical of consumer products of era. Remarks: According to donor, medicines containing poisons were identifiable by the ribbing and triangle shape of the bottle.
