Patent medicine kit in box. Description: "The Doctor on the spot Pocket Homeopathic Medical Case" manufactured by Pacific Homeopathic Family Mecial Co. San Francisco. Consists of box with attached lid, printed label with photograph of mother treating child with kit. Inside in divided compartments are glass vials with metal screw tops, each has numbered paper label, most contain round white pills, a few, brown pills. Inside box lid is diagram with diseases each pill is to treat. Condition: Excellent, slight wear on box sides. 13.5 cms. Remarks: San Francisco was a center for homeopathic medicine. Pharmaceutical supplies and merchandise from the Sandelin Drug Co. located at 7th and Willow, West Oakland. Founded in 1879 by ____Sandelin, taken over in 1920 by Oscar Frisch, father of donor, retaining old store name. Materials donated date between 1880 and 1920 and are typical of consumer products of era.
