Reverse has pencil message and name & Sacramento address. Stamp and Berkeley postmark dated 1911. Badly printed (blurred) and postmark ink on front; lower right-hand corner bent. o) Claremont Hotel, "Oakland, Calif." Note Hotel architecture is considerably different than today, with pseudo-tudor style exposed timber beams. Reverse has ink message, name & Oakland address. (colored) Clear view of building with Federal style architecture with Victorian influence. Dirt road in foreground. c. 1905. q) Mechanics Building, University of California, Berkeley. Small tab on right when pulled brings out booklet series of views 2 x 3" of: Hotel Metropole, St. Mary's College, Post Office, 14th Street and Broadway from City Hall Park, Broasway with streetcar, Oakland High School, Public Library, Union Savings Bank Building, Mills College, Bell Tower, Lake Merritt, Home of Joaquin Miller, and the Santa Fe Depot. Tab is bent and worn, both sides of exterior package are sligthly scratched and soiled. c. 1905. w) Advertising postcard for "Albany Painless Dentists". Front has picture of building at 15th & Broadway, with words at either end of card: Solid Gold Crowns; Solid Gold Bridge Work, $5.00/Good Set of Teeth; Fillings, etc. Reverse has more advertisement, including guarantees and the address: "Mr. & Mrs. Acheingtooth, My City, Oakland". x) Postcard photograph taken with postcard camera. Group of six young women sitting and kneeling on grassy area, one with camera in hand. Woman on far right has ink star beside her and the word "me". Below photo are written words "Sept. 5/09 Oakland". Reverse has ink message (writer is "Mabel" and people on front are the "Goldberg-Bowen Bunch"), name, and Sacramento address.
