Letter. Description: Pale blue paper (oft-folded) with faded black longhand script written on both sides. Dated Colusa County, California, July 24th, 1855 and written to his mother from John S.L. Taylor. Regarding the journal he kept on his trip to California--item 3. Condition: Satisfactory--heavily creased and beginning to separate in some of the creased areas as well as somewhat dirty on the top half of the back page. 9-1/2 x 7 1/2".
