Night gown and sash. Description: a: pink silk night gown arm holes and neck line (which goes to a slight "v" in the front are all trimmed with embroidered pink scallops, embroidered pink flowers descend from neckline center front, white silk label at nape reads (in yellow) "Made in CHINA for The H. C. Capwell Co., Oakland"; white paper label next to silk label, is printed in a blue and reads "A.M.C. Chinese Hand Embroidery, No. 5000, 38 size, Made in China"; small pocket scalloped and embroidered on the garment's left front; b: small matching sash of pink silk, stitched together (never used). History: Probably belonged to Donor's Aunt Julia (possibly donor's mother). Condition: Mint (never worn). c.1928-1930. (Claudia Kidwell, 10/19/1993)
