Teacup. Description: Handleless Chinese-style teacup. Made of white porcelain with decorations running around the outside in gold, sea-green, and grey; several hairline cracks around sides. CONDITION: poor; dark smudges inside; many decorated areas have faded nearly back to white surface; frieze in particular (lightest color is nearly all faded. Damage caused by exposure to intense heat. Dimensions: Diameter: 2-3/8" Height 2-1/8". History: Damaged by exposure to 1906 fire following the San Francisco earthquake on April 18.
