Child's pajamas. Description: Top and trousers of pajamas are of lightweight polyester in a tiny white and yellow check with pictures in blues, white, gold and red of athletic equipment and children participating in various forms of exercise. b. Trousers have a fly front and a drawstring waist through which is pulled white seam binding which is tied at the front. Across the inside top back is printed in black ink, "Children's Hospital Medical Center". White label printed in red ink on the inside right front near the waist reads, "Fashion Seal Uniforms", "S" in a circle, "Flame Out III" with a "R" in a circle, "Inherently Flame Retardant", "100% Trivera Polyester", "Machine Wash", "Tumble Dry", "Flame Resistant", "Meets U.S. Dept of Commerce Federal Standard Doc FF3-71 & 5-74". Stamped in black ink on the label are "674" and "63828". a. Top has raglan short sleeves, a crew neckline, front opening, and 4 snaps on the front. The snap halves which protrude say "Gripper" followed by a star, and "Gripper" followed by a star around their edges. Across the center back is printed in black ink, "Children's Hospital Medical Center". The label found at the inside neckline back reads the same as that on the trousers through the federal document numbers. Then it says, still in red, "664" and "Lot 6275" (last number of lot number is difficult to read). Dimensions: Trousers are 22" long and 25" around the waist before drawstring is used. Top is 17" long from back neck to hem and 4-1/2" between the two shoulder lines at the neckline. History: Pajamas issued by Children's Hospital in Oakland to the donor's daughter, Bridget Dwyer, on January 13, 1981. Tubes were put in her eardrums to drain fluid behind the drums, following 20 ear infections. References/Remarks: Children's Hospital Medical Center, Oakland, California Print seems to date from an earlier time as well as bell bottoms (looks like early-mid 1970's).
