Model. Description: fiberglass model of "Doggie Diner" logo dachshund head, brick red, dressed in white shirt, blue and white dotted tie, with a large chiefs hat on with blue and "gold" Doggie Dinner "DD" at front. Condition: very fine, tiny red smudge on nose History: Doggie Dinner was a locally (East Bay) based fast food restaurant chain, starting in the 1940's. The architecture was simple, basically white, low buildings, featuring a very large "Doggie Diner" Dog on the top (approximately 10 - 12 feet high). As the verbal and visual puns imply, the basic food served, was the hot dog. Not a "drive-in" restaurant, they did have parking accomodations in some locations; primarily they catered to foot traffic. Some "Doggie" heads are still in existence, but in the late 1970's many were removed.
