Seat of leatherette with heavy coil springs under seat and above front wheel. "Monark Super deluxe mfg, by Monark Silver King Inc, Chicago" on red enamel makers plate. Dimensions: 65" long, 36" high at handle bars. History: In fair original condition, to be restored by Mario Carillo for exhibit in permanent gallery. From the History Information Station: Object: Monark Super Deluxe bicycle which dates to 1948. It was manufactured by Monark Silver King, Inc., of Chicago. This is a girl's 26 inch bicycle. History: In its day the Super Deluxe model was the top of the line in bicycles. Monark advertised it as the "Dream bike of the century! Super streamlined `air flow' design with new `Air-Wing' head shield and dozens of other exciting new features. New mar proof and chip resistant finish." Gift of Jerry Grulkey
