Description: coral-colored silk and cotton brocade; with athletic tumblers and horse in red, olive-green and straw-colored thread; at bottom of bag are two blue and straw-colored angels; sides and top border of bag are in blue, green, red, and straw-colored thread, in a floral spray pattern; clasp and chain are of "gold" metal, with green accents; frame pattern is of flowers, and chain is made up of links of flowers and leaves; closure is a push-button type, made to look like a flower, with a small laurel-leaf handle opposite it; small swans hold the chain to the clasp; interior is rayon damask with bells and floral motif pattern, with a small sewn-in pocket. Dimensions: 8" x 8-1/2"; chain is 15"; Condition: excellent. History: Belonged to Mrs. William E. Dargie (nee Ermina Peralta). 1925-1930; the pattern looks Persian. Image is medallions with a floral border. Acrobats on horseback. It looks Italian. (Joan Severa, 3/7/1994)
