comb. Description: large hair comb; of plastic made to resemble toroiseshell; pierced design with scrolls on outside of comb, and centerpiece of a vase with fruit and flowers, surrounded by pierced "plus" design; Dimensions: length 11 3/4"; width 12-1/2"; height 4-1/2" Condition: very good. History: Belonged to Mrs. William E. Dargie (nee Ermina Peralta). Comb has name embossed in "gold" lettering at base of comb; name is Ouirigemma or Owrigemma.
Most likely worn with a mantilla and not by a woman who was Spanish or from Spanish descent. (Joan Severa, 3/14/1994)
