Description: black, firm felt helmet with a patent leather headband, "silver" colored metal crescent of leaves in the front, with the number "76" mounted in the center; two vents on either side of the crown with metal eyelets; top of crown has a series of small perforations for venting. Dimensions: 9" x 11-1/2" x 7-1/4" condition: very good (has been worn, hair still adhering to inside sweat band. History: Worn by donor's grandfather, Bernard Curran, badge number 76, Oakland Police Department. Good condition! (Joan Severa, 3/14/1994)
