Hand written on the back "A's v. Kansas City, Dave Stewart pitches a winner." Photo shows Stewart just about ready to pitch the ball. From the Oakland Tribune, June 10, 1990, article titled "Stew gets even with K.C." by Monte Poole: "When they last met, the Kansas City Royals slapped Dave Stewart all over the artificial turf of Royals Stadium. Stewart even slapped himself a few times. But even before those scars had healed, he was hatching a plan for redemption. It took six days, but he got it yesterday. Got it about as good as he could get it. In pitching the A's to a 5-0 victory over Kansas City in front of a sellout crowd (43,916) at the Coliseum, Stewart became the American League's second nine-game winner. It was Stewart's first regular-season, complete-game shutout in 21 1/2 months." Stewart joined the Oakland A's in 1987, leaving in 1995. This photo was used in the Oakland Tribune, June 10, 1990.
