This silver filigree necklace is part of a set of Indian silver filigree jewelry sent to Margaret Kellett by her father, Major Edward Young Kellett, a doctor in the Royal Army Medical Corps stationed in India. Margaret Kellett wore the jewelry at her wedding to Richard Joseph Long on November 15, 1877, in Los Angeles. The necklace is composed of eleven full floral silver filigree blossoms, graduated in size, linked together by three small chains between each blossom, with silver cone/tassel suspended by chain from nine of the blossoms; tenth blossom is the clasp, and the eleventh is its companion.
