Architectural frament from the Dalziel building across from city hall in downtown Oakland. The building was being demolished to make room for the new city government building; this collection of fragments was rescued by workmen and presented to the museum. See HABS report at the Oakland Public Library done by Carey Co. for seven buildings in downtown Oakland, including the Dalziel building. See also H72.131.47F for a good image of the Dalziel building. This fragment is a border of oak leaves alternating with flowers from the lower frieze at the top of the ground floor. W: 16" x H: 7.5" x D: 6"
