He captivated young Westlake Junior High audience in visit yesterday." Handwritten, "Clem Daniels leading Choral group." Photo shows Daniels in a suit and tie at the head of a classroom of kids. The kids are all sitting in desks with their books piled in front of them. They appear to be singing. From exhibition label: "EARLY MAINSTAYS, January 23, 1963-- Al davis became coach of the Raiders in 1963, after the team had lost 25 of its previous 28 games. He is flanked by running back Clem Daniels (left) and quarterback Tom Flores, as they looka t a playbook shortly after Davis was named head coach, upper right. Davis is seen in a training camp huddle with the 1963 Raiders, center below, a team that quickly reversed fortunes, finished 10-4 and helped earn Davis AFL coach of the year honors. Flores and Daniels were early Raider mainstays. Flores was an original Raider and became the starter at quarterback in 1961. He threw 24 touchdown passes (many to receiver Art Powell) in 1966 before being involved in a trade to Buffalo that brought Daryle Lamonica to Oakland. He returned to Oakland in 1972 as an assistant coach, became head coach in 1979, and coached Super Bowl championship teams in 1980 and 1982. daniels came to the Raiders in 1961 as a free agent out of tiny Prairie View. A year later he rushed for a 4.7 yard average, caught 24 passes and scored eight touchdowns. He led the Raiders in rushing through 1967, with 1963 being his most productive year. In that season, he rushed for 1099 yards and had a 5.1 yard average. Like many other Raider players of his era, Daniels was involved in community activities. He is seen teaching students, center above, at Oakland's Westlake Junior High School.. He is presently an Oakland business man."
