Photograph of Trinity County Deputy Sheriff Harold Jackson. He and his pair of spotted hound dogs discovered the body of Stephanie Bryan on a hillside near the Abbott vacaation cabin on July 20.
According to the Oakland Tribune of November 30, Jackson "followed his dogs up the hillside...`When I got there I saw these clothes sticking out of the dirt and I holldered down to the rest of the party to come up, that I had...or rather the dogs had...found something." The "something" turned out to be Stephanie Bryan's badly decomposed body; she had been missing since April 28.
