Handwritten on the back, "Augie Pedlar and 'Miss Doran.'" Photo shows Augy (or Augie or Auggie) Pedlar, the pilot of the biplane the "Miss Doran" standing under one of the planes wings. He is wearing a pinstrip suit and is pointing with his right hand to something on the wing as he looks at the camera. His left hand is tucked into the pocket of his trousers; he is in a very relaxed pose. A portion of the "Miss Doran" is behind him with the "Lincoln Oils" emblem on the side of the plane clearly visible. See H96.1.1864 for information on the Dole Race and on the "Miss Doran."
