Handwritten on the back, "Moore's Last War." Clipping from Tribune, Dec. 14, 1941-- "Thousands of men were employed at Moore's shipyard during World War No. 1 when 'Doc' Rogers took this picture. Five vessels were being built at the time for war service." Photo shows several ships being built, each still surrounded with its wood framing. Photo printed in the paper just seven days after the destruction of the Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor.
