Tribune clipping on the back, May 25, 1938-- "Ten minutes after the upper left photo was taken, the steel pylon buckled at the arrow and plunged the two men shown on the top 80 feet to the ground. The photo upper right shows the broken joint. George Buttner (lower left) rode the steel to earth and escapped with injuries. Paul Thorpe (lower right) died before help could arrive.- Tribune photo." Photo shows a tall steel scaffold-like structure with two men standing on the top platform. An arrow has been drawn on the photo to show where the structure broke.
