Handwritten on the back, "Oakland Airport, Used in 1938 Yearbook pg 41, 4/14/38." Photo shows the air traffic control tower and the connecting terminal at the airport. On the ground surrounding the terminal is a chain link fence with several benches behind it for passengers. On the field is a large United Air Lines passenger plane (only the nose of the plane and part of one wing visible). In the background, under the plane, near the terminal building are two parked cars.
