Original envelope read, "Fruitvale School. Learning practical things 5-18-13." Negative shows a group of children- two boys and six girls sitting in folding chairs around a table. The are working with scissors cutting out things on pieces of cloth and also working with compasses on pieces of paper. A female teacher and a man are watching over their work. A fern-like plant is sitting on a low table next to the children.
