Bentley was to take the 11:55 flight to .... and then onto Palm Springs." Tribune caption, June 1, 1989- "Southwest Airlines kicked off service last month fromm Oakland with cut-rate fares to Ontario." Photo shows two women standing a short distance from the Southwest ticket counter. The women are kissing each other on the cheek. Above the ticket counter are balloons and streamers celebrating the opening of the airline.
