Handwritten on the back, "7th & Franklin St. in foreground going east. 4:50 p.m. B.J. 9-25-51." Tribune caption on the back, May 3, 1959- "The arched windows are reminiscent of a bygone era, but the white stripes on the pavement and the one-way traffic are of our generation. This one's hard to guess. Turn to page 18 for the answer." Photo shows cars driving down Franklin. Some cars are parked at the curb and stores line the streets. On the corner on the left side is a Shell service station. Two buildings on either side of the street further down have advertisements for Pepsi Cola and Coca Cola, respectively, painted on the sides.
