Tribune caption, Sep. 7, 1969- "East side of Broadway between 11th and 12th has new sidewalks and paving as subway work nears end." Photo shows an African American man walking up the sidewalk near the photographer, another man is walking down the new sidewalk. A bus is going down Broaway. On the opposite side of the street is the Broadway Theatre with construction debris littering the street directly in front of the theatre and further down.
