Handwritten in blue pencil on the back of the photo, "Auto traffic across bridge during gen. strike Dec 3 and 4th--Dec 7, 1946." Photo shows a lot of cars trying to get onto the Bay Bridge, as well as a lot of cars coming off the bridge. Traffic in both directions on the upper deck. Some cars parked at the side of the road near the water. A policeman appears to be walking down the road near a divider.
