Clipping on the back of the photo, "The several thousand pickets, sympathizers and spectators are shown as they massed on 16th Street between Telegraph and San Pablo Avenues at one of the entrances to Kahns. The crowds, attracted by hooting and yelling, surge from one street to another in the area.-Tribune photos. Dec. 5, 1946." Photo shows the street between the Owl Drug Co. and Arden's store, the street is jammed with a large crowd of people, a couple of cars parked at the curb. The crowd consists of men and women.
