Clipping on the back of the photo reads, "Crowds of pickets and strike sympathizers surge around and on this U.S. mail truck, which backed up to Kahns' 16th Street entrance in an unsuccessful effort to pick up and deliver mail. One cameraman was mauled and his camera smashed during the incident. Two postoffice employees drove away in the truck after waiting 15 minutes at the door." Photo shows a mail truck backed up to Kahns' delivery door. A large crowd of peopel, men and women, standing around the truck.
